Melancholia

Melancholia

A Poem by Luna Zerimar

Screeching thoughts.
The voices never stop.
Make me bleed.
I just want to feel.

I've been in this pit.
Dead and alive.
Gave up on trying to get out.

The bruises never hid.
The scars never disappeared.
They're inside. They live in me.

Happiness has become a crisis.
They tricked me.
Those b*****d "Christians".
Told me life was beautiful.
Told me it was worth it.

But it's a nightmare.
It sunk me in depression.
A poisonous water.

Hopes get high.
Faith tries to form.

It doesn't matter what I do...

Life will still find a way to  complicate everything.
Life will still find a way to bring in sadness.
...Find a way to bring in desperation.

Confuse my thoughts.
Fill my head with insane voices.

Just stay away.
I'm dangerous.
You can't be with me.
You can't even be a friend.
Life will snatch you away.

Help me. Help me.
Please don't runaway.

Contradiction.
It's what I do.
But I swear it's not my fault.

I need you.
I need everyone.

...I forgot.

How can you,
Or anyone save me?
All I do is push away.

Don't help me.
Just stay away.

I can't feel.
I'm dead alive.
With screeching thoughts.

..I've got desperate voices.

Ahhh.
A close feeling of mine.
I was reading today about some facts of 'Being in love with depression' and it hit home a fair bit.
Thinking that if someone loves us it just cant be true or we will just bring them down with us.
Maybe that's just not love.
Because love is worth it, its painful and sometimes a complete crisis, even being able to fall and trust someone.
Because they say to love someone else we must first love ourselves, its not entirely true as if the feeling is strong enough they can help us in ways we cant forsee.
Its like jumping out a plane for 3 billion pounds with no parachute and a blindfold, would you do it, what if i told you the plane was on the ground?

It's filled with darkness and each line is dripping with emotions of sadness and desparation. Great work Jessica.
I've written something similar "The pit of death", check it out, it might connect.
Thank you for sharing...:)
