Nothing In Bloom

Nothing In Bloom

"
We were nothing in bloom
For half a decade
Spent ripping flowers
From their roots and tossing them
Into stupid bouquets

Empty gardens daily toils
And in some silly joke
Of a universe
You called it being prolific

And your leaves so Autumn
So red and gone and dead
How I pretended I didn't
Need to tend them

And now no amount of care
Will ever water, feed or mend them

I completely agree with your thoughts friend. We just run behind the beauty of nature rather caring it...
Amazing lines!
