Painful Days

How I feel about a past relationship

I go into my own little world

Others see my eyes are empty

That is the place where I see you

Where I remember the pain

The grasp you had on me

The venimous influence

The dangerous paths

 

You told me to forget them

That everything will be all right

Then that night came

 

The night you lost all control

The night you struck me

The night you pinned me down

 

A prisoner was I

All I could do was cry

All you did was wonder why

 

I am no longer wearing black today

No longer in that funeral stat of mind

I am having fun today

Living the life I deserve to live

 

Those were the painful days

In the depths of my memory they will stay

Though they will never go away

They will never come back

You are not worth any of my days
