They don't know

They don't know

A Poem by Peaches

I share pieces of myself

Like a patchwork quilt

A piece here and a piece there

No one ever knows the complete me

So many think they know me

I share a glimmer of my pain

Small pieces of the whole

But I hide the scars

I know

Just how strong I am

How strong I've had to be

And the ghosts that follow me

They will never know

Because I hold onto my mask

As I would my last breath

They don't know

How lonely it is to be me

About
I've been writing forever it seems. I don't remember exactly when I began but by the time I was eight I had started a collection. I have even got some of those poems and stories still tucked away, to .. more..
