Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Peaches

Not born of my body
Nor raised by me
But when she met my son
She was mine you see

A woman who could have been
A daughter to me
She was so full of love
And so carefree

I opened my arms
I opened my heart
I prayed she and my son
Would never part

But in a moment that changed
The doctors spoke
And the words he used
Made my heart choke

In 6 short months
Away her soul pattered
And left me and my son
With hearts that were shattered

About
