Within Rich and Poor

Within Rich and Poor

A Poem by Time's The Bond

Within Rich and Poor

By: Emily Lui

Written 5-3-13

What I think is nothing

Is what one thinks the world of

What I think priceless

Is what they have

Because they can't live on the priceless item

I give them what they think the world of

Food and blankets

As I am given the priceless item

That is a smile and a lesson

What can be had with what you have

Is what can be traded

With that what you need

A rich man

Said

I have everything

Then I have nothing

A poor man said

I have nothing

Then I have everything

What can be traded

Is everything and nothing

Let the poor man trade his smile and kindness

Let the rich man trade a blanket and food
