The story of being me

The story of being me

A Poem by Wikiwit
"

Narcissist....is how I'll describe the tone of this poem. But in no way did I over-rate myself...:P

"
I might be successful in making this a reality,
When I go forward and describe my normality.

I am as normal as a perpendicular line gets,
But on circular analogies in situ,  I place no bets.

I might seem like your run-of-the-mill boy,
But believe you me, I can lead a mills’ convoy.

I can read your thoughts and see what you say,
Call me dyslexic, and with your life you shall pay.

I often get moody, and Moodys’ will gladly testify that,
But my mood swings don’t make me a qualified brat.

I may say things that’ll be hurtful, yet so true,
Veracity is a forte that hurts my sentiments too.

I might not be a Ronaldo or a Waldner at sport,
But tease the wrong veins, and you’ll scramble for support.

I would rather not talk about technical prowess,
You’ll die of shame, and you’ll lose all sense of progress.

I rarely take studies seriously, and that you’ll see in my marks,
But I devour knowledge, and you’ll fumble battling my witty sparks.

I am no joker, I believe in “Humor in plain uniform”
I can make you laugh till you give up or nod to affirm.

I guess I’ve bragged enough, and now its your turn,
To turn a blind eye to your success, and just move on.

Love the flow of the poem, the content and the over-all tone!
this has so many shades to it, apart from being narcissist, as u have already stated.
its confident at places "I might seem like your run-of-the-mill boy,
But believe you me, I can lead a mills’ convoy."
and boastful, "I might not be a Ronaldo or a Waldner at sport,
But tease the wrong veins, and you’ll scramble for support."
and for me, it brings out a shade of humor too, "I would rather not talk about technical prowess, You’ll die of shame, and you’ll lose all sense of progress."

Love this one! :)

nice rhyme scheme, though it seems forced at places. The thoughts went zig-zag a few times. I liked it in parts though. Anyways keep writing and sharing !
