Numb

Numb

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Maybe only you..

"

I was looking at the white lines on the road

I saw your beauty in the skies

smoke clouded up the window

are these our last days together?

Cry because everything feels right

I did

Smile at the thought of holding someone’s hand

I did

Would I give up my life?

Because that’s all that I have

I’m in limbo

waiting for something right

It’s like the shock that comes before the pain

I still don’t realize

my heart’s not beating and has been ripped away

Maybe we’re too alike to be different

maybe I loved too much

maybe only I am alive
