Forever Friend (rough)

Forever Friend (rough)

You are my forever friend
I will need you 'til the end
Inevitable
I crave you before days begin
Push me away, pull me in
Comfort in conflict
No!

Travel must begin
Come with me my forever friend
For I will love you,
Always
Around every bend,
Twists and turns
The straight and narrow once trudged
She was the robotic "delight"
They said she was "alright"
Curled and content

Then I met you face to face
Finally
My forever friend
You broke me whole
And these pieces never have traveled straight
So, cracked and crooked
For you I wait-

Tell me she is alright!
It was supposed to be alright!
Mired in an earthly plight
Scaling mountains imagined and mountains real
Gone are the shy smile and fluid zeal

My forever friend
I will question the heavens
For I forgive
So unfair seems your plight
No-

Do you feel her heart sinking and sad?
Tight with remorse and regret?
Bound by fear and failure?
Gripped by war with self and society?
Aching to reciprocate undeserved love ?
Daily, eyes looking down,
But the heart should be heaven-bound?

My forever friend
Action lagging infinitely behind intent
Your burden is real
But remember, always
It is heaven sent.
So, stop looking down
And gaze upward where your burden,
Your gift?
Was created and will
Eternally be found.

Looking down-
