Secret Place

Secret Place

A Poem by Will Neill

We all have our secret place....dont we?

Secret Place

Deep within my mind I keep

That secret place where I don’t weep

Of precious memories and our fleeting life

loves first kiss and newborn life

A caress that lasts a thousand years

The Joy and sadness of children’s tears

Fingers touching as we sleep

Knowing we can never keep

Secrets which would end our fears

Good rhyming and good meter. Indeed, we all have, and need, a secret place.

Thanks John . Will
The most precious of our memories are not for public display. So precious are they, we keep them hidden from view, to be recalled at our leisure. Meaningful lines Will. A delight to read something new from you. All the best.

I really enjoyed reading your poem and it has a lot to say about the memories we keep. Their preciousness and value to our hearts in the peace they bring. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
