Rushed water

Rushed water

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

want to go back to this time and place

"

Suspended in midfall,

Standing over rushed water,

Feet planted firmly on thin air,

Hands gripping cold support,

Rocks grimly chuckling at unlikely fall,

Reaching out with splashed water,

Hoping to catch another victim,

With taunted toothless smiles,

Wind a ruthless partner,

Rocking platform side to side,

Unhooking foot from steadfast hold,

Slowing down to create suspense,

Whistling softly around ear,

Creating sense of harmony,

Leaves dancing free in air,

Floating calmly down to rushed water,

Birds singing in joyous harmony,

An experience best captured by mind,

Sun glinting of water, into mind eye,

Creating a melodious peacefulness,

Rushed water slowing to calm,

Suspended in midfall,

Feet touching softly on thin air,

Hand caressing entwined support,

Calm.

Such a beautiful piece! I you build suspense making my heart race. Then you slowed it to a peaceful rhythm. Such a smooth transition between the two actions. Thank you for sharing.

sounds like a very refreshing experience.... it gives me the feeling of jumping of a rock into a waterfall.....delicious :)
