Cheeky Smiles

Cheeky Smiles

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

I've made a new friend and have yet to meet him in person so I thought I would write about it, because who doesn't do that?

"

Beard with tinges of ginger,

Cheeky little smile hiding beneath,

Jokes falling from those pink lips,

Laugh bubbling out at her smile,

Watching as she waits for the next word,

Hanging on to the jokes between them,

Eager to appreciate his mind,

And the person he is in complete,

Glasses hiding those baby blues,

Twinkling like the ocean under the sun,

Waiting for her laugh to bounce out,

Sparking the tension between them,

Waiting to meet for the first time,

They sit and talk behind a camera,

Watching each other with eager eyes,

Learning new things every day,

Laughing at his accent,

Unbeknown to him, she loves it,

Listening to the phrases and tones,

So different to her own voice,

Similarities sparking between the two,

Plans being made from nothing,

Cheeky smiles shared via the screen,

Watching each other with aligned stars.

Those cheeky smiles can be dangerous. Can steal our hearts. Hello dear friend and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
