Peppermint Anti-Hero

Peppermint Anti-Hero

A Poem by Gypsy Willow

Softly spoken
Whispered true
My heart instructs
And guides

Enveloped in green
Hidden by trees
She lets my mind
Expand

She opens my eyes
She strengthens my ears
This nature is all
I can smell

The serene peace
Of earthy solitude
Secrets she rarely
Shares

I feel warm sun
I taste sweet air
I softly hear
The waves

The soft breeze lulls
And I'm transfixed
I'm in a sort
Of slumber

And as I sit

So mesmerized
She slowly takes
The pain

My heart hurts less
My mind can rest
I think I have found
Peace.
