Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time

A Poem by Rose

Once upon a time
We were the kings and the queens
We ruled the world with dreams
Our eyes shined like suns and happiness poured like sugar from our fingertips
As we grasped daisy stems and pulled them tight
But the clouds blew in.
The sun has lost its shine.
The sugar lost its sweetness.
The daisies have all wilted in our hands.
Once upon a time
The world was a magical place
But once upon a time
Darkness won
And we grew up.
Because we are not royalty and our eyes are not suns.
The only thing that pours from fingertips is blood and daisies should stay where they are.
We have no happy endings.

Rose
I felt like writing it, and so I did. I know it isn't the best.
