Nowhere

Nowhere

A Poem by DIVYA

In the middle of nowhere
In an illusion of somewhere
My frame liquiscent
My breath quiescent
My reasons just skin deep
My life a larval sleep
As a moth suspended
Dead and dying in the wind
As a shadow unbidden
To an earthly form is pinned
Cast off, dispossessed by gravity
As a fetus I hang in the
Airless womb of eternity

This poem is wonderfully explained and expressed. You also educated me on a couple of words, thank you for that. Your poem really made me feel what you were talking about although it wasn't that hard to, me knowing the state all on my own lol. But liking it to writer's block, you sure did write a good poem. tyfs

Happy 2022, Dear Divya 🌸
I am warmly overjoyed to welcome you home!

What a pleasant surprise it was seeing your name in the Writers Online list, and to find this palpably rendered, uniquely creative, and gripping poem ~~ only You could create.
With spot-on rhymes and flow smooth as ripples on a crystal clear springtime rill, you've used your pen to paint imagery and emotional timbre so deeply, soul-searchingly sad; yet, eloquently beautiful in rhythmic beat … almost a rebirth in spiritually awakening consciousness, astride life's great mandala ⁓ nowhere and everywhere.
Your artwork choice … sheer perfection!
You're sharp* as ever.

It is such a thrill to have you back.🥂 ⁓ Richard 🍃

Gee
I think all of us at some stage of our life end up here, in limbo, with seemingly nothing in front to look forward to and all behind us questioned.
Good to see you back in action.
Hope you are well

Oh, ..how I relate to this poem, Divya.....this is the exact feeling I have being stuck in one place for the last two years.....kind of like being stuck in suspended animation and not being able to leave it behind. Your words are so relatable and yet soothing in their expression.i hope we can all break out of this airless womb very soon. I couldn't stand an eternity of such. Loved this one! Ty💛

Dear much missed DIVYA, true to your word, I find you here once again where you belong. I saw here a change of state. Much in the same way a chrysalis lies dormant through a long cold winter.to emerge into a beautiful butterfly. Revived. So good to read you again dear poet. A delight to trail through the forum and find you posting.

Thank you so much 😊💕
This unusual offering seems at first glance to be about death, but the final two lines seem to indicate the speaker dwells in eternity, which means an existence beyond the life forms mentioned in the earlier lines. All forms are fleeting, but eternity is not.

sure wish I had written those two lines.
Gravity pulls us, but sometimes destiny just leaves us hanging...
we are suspended and the idea of attaining goals in life can seem an illusion.
So good to read you again, DIVY,
