Pain Lingers

Bullying is one worst ways to feel emotional pain

Bitterness enfolds before her heart

 Pain unravels before her mind

 Fear unlocks before her dreams

 Isolation entangles before her eyes

Utter disgust points at her

 Mocks and laughs attacks through her

 Lingering there, a knife taunts her

 Sitting there, darkness awaits her

Lonely she is with no one there

 Little she knows a harsher world waits

 Little she knows people can't see

 The buried pain clouded transparently

Lies after lies are poured from her mouth

 "I'm fine" has become her common phrase

 Was it worth lying to the people who cared?

 Was it worth lying to the creators of her soul? 

Years she has endured this pain

 The pain that is enlightened every new day

 Shall I be the one to erase that pain?

 Or shall I watch in the shadows as she suffers

Like the coward I am?

First bully poem, thank you for reading :) It's more as a witness who is too scared to stand up for a victim.

I like what you're addressing here, the fact that many people are witnesses to bullying, but they're too scared to do anything about it. I also really enjoyed the format of the the bolded word bully (I forgot what these were called haha) at the side as you wrote about it but you never mention it in your poem, you describe it. Really great piece.

In these days in age its hard to jump in when someone is getting bulling, but at the sametime it is hard to watch. Great poem i like the how you wrote this with bully spelled down the side for creative... be happy to read more of your work.. keep it up.
