(Im)patience

(Im)patience

A Poem by ❀ Gabriela ❀
"

Patience was never one of my strengths...

"
Patience is truly a virtue
Albeit, one I have yet to acquire.

I could never wait to pull out a tooth;
I would yank the thing out with pliers!

Taking turns, or worse- waiting in line,
Are two other things I would scoff.

And, to be terribly blunt,
I still rush to the front
And cut everybody else off!

Ah, yes, patience. It's definitely something
that's been lost to my brain.

Now, don't take me wrong
(My, this poem's getting long!)
It's not something I wish to attain.

a cheery, colloquial poem. Not my favourite style of writing, but is appealing to many.

Love the humor, yes, sometimes its so difficult being patient. It is something that must be worked on all the time. I really enjoyed your poem!

Love the second last line, getting impatient to end. Love it.
