I Warned You

I Warned You

A Poem by Pastel Nix

You say I am a butterfly,
But I am a moth.
A dark creature that shows
When night is upon us.

The beauty you imagine
Is an illusion for your eyes.
In truth I am malicious,
But you are convinced it's lies.

You do this to yourself,
So I am not to blame.
I warned you in the beginning,
"None of this is a game."

wow, that is really a warning... but it has element of truth which I think One should consider at before stepping. Very first line is "You say I am a butterfly,
But I am a moth", expressing the beauty as poet. wonderfully done!
