No Escape

No Escape

A Poem by Elizabeth Reed

The darkness, the black, the silence deafening as it pulls you, claws you, tears you apart
You scream for help but nothing, silence, no words escape you lips
You can't escape it, the blackness, the horror, the terror that's inside you
You can't get away, though you try, how you try, try so desperately to escape
How can you escape? How can you escape something so dark that clings to you, that owns you, that's inside you?
You can't escape, you can't get away. How could could you get away? How is it possible? Is it possible?
Is it possible to escape yourself?

ohhh.. nice ending! Is it possible? Thats a great question.. i guess it depends on a lot of things.. you really nailed it though.. most of our problems our things we project on others about ourselves.. enjoyed this! :)

your lips* 2nd line.
4th line repeats try a little too much.
And the two lines in this poem is a bit too direct for poetry. Other than that, I think you have some good imagery and a very clear authorial voice. Keep it up.
