A Poem by

"Forget me not ", I will not say any more
for countless flowers have blossomed in the yard
and bees in frenzied swarms they allure ,
that hum , like the tune of a singing bard.

Let me thus dissolve and fade away .
Like winged seeds , in the winter gale , let me fly ,
until the wind dies down this fair day .

Then there let me fall , let me die , let me die .

Let me die and arise anew again
in any one of life's myriad forms

let me savor the pleasure of earth and rain
let me stand my ground against the storms .

Good poem, though a bit sad as well. If I may, perhaps you should change the "let me die..." of the last stanza for "Let me vanish and arise...", you may use a different word if you like, I just think the poem repeats "let me die" too much, however, this is just my opinion, it still remains being a great poem as it is, keep up the good work ^^

I love this just the way it is.. the desire to reincarnate is very powerful in this poem.. to leave this life for another.. I can totally relate; I too am ready for another life as this one has little left to offer me. Very well written, powerful language... the repetition of "let me die" in threesome.. the number 3 has a powerful meaning in some cultures. Anyway, just rambling now. Excellent work.

You paint an excellent vision with your words.

Excellent nature imagery celebrating the cycles of death and transformation giving way to resilient life.

I agree about possibly changing the wording of let me die........otherwise this is gorgeous.

A powerful and beautiful poem. The description and detail was amazing.
"Let me thus dissolve and fade away .
Like winged seeds , in the winter gale , let me fly ,
until the wind dies down this fair day .
Then there let me fall , let me die , let me die ."
Thank you for your amazing poetry. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful.. The process of life and death and rebirth. The way you use nature is of coarse a favorite of mine.. Simply beautiful and a favorite of mine:) xx I think we dream the same dreams lol:) x

You have a name and it shows in your work, which is so beautiful! This is another fantastic write! I could hear the bees, and feel the chill of winter, as the seed of life floated to its resting place, only to spring up again in life with dreams of being an oak...

Great Write!

Oh you know you so remind me of my favorite romantic poet Sara Teasedale
Dreams of Heart"

Dreams of heart and mind pass,
Nothing stays with me too long,
But I have had music from a child
Within the deep solace of song;

If that should ever leave me,
Let me find death and stay
With tunes played out forgotten
Like the rain of yesterday.

When out of the night I heard,
Like the raging of the sea,
This hushed and terrible sob
Given out by all humanity.

Then I thought, " who am I
To scorn God to his face?
I will bow my head and stay
And suffer with my race."

Sara Teasdale
