~ Puppet Psychosis

~ Puppet Psychosis

A Poem by
"

~ Ourselves imagined in the world of psychosis, as someone very dear to me struggles with this...

"

~ Puppet Psychosis

Inscrutable cans

Hidden in those thoughts

A dream alive

An illusion of reality

Nor obscured by the mind

The living walk by the

Spirit in full consciousness

Trapped by defects

Tired by thoughts

Together a whole

In the power of the senses

Each uniquely interwoven

To a whole universal touch

The puppets dance schizophrenic

On the canvas of the mind

Each one with its own

Dance, to the last gasp

Wake up, wake up

And realize that you had shared a

Quartered, of your time

At your own waking dream

The title for this one really grabbed my attention! I was looking forward to dive into this one, and I wasn't dissapointed !!! Puppets as inanimated objects, puppets as children toys, puppets as hopeless human beings, going through the routine, having their strings pulled by an unseen presence... "The puppets dance schizophrenic" There is such power and rythym in your words, they scream to be repeated and to be taken far across the land! Your style is quite unique, halfway between reality (the heart) and dreamland (the imagination). "At your own waking dream" indeed... Another fascinating read, thank you for sharing!

That is exactly true, I think....
Very well descriptive piece of the inner workings of the struggle that plagues the schitzophrenic mind. Tortured, a mind puppet to the other minds that live within, sharing extremely limited space. Encountering so much loss of time. Well written love!

Thank you Krithika :)
There are no mental health facilities in Detroit. They have all been closed by a cash-strapped govenment and renamed as prisons. Consequently, the pathology of the
desease of schizophrenia, the essential nature of it, is criminalized and made a
problem of sociatal illegality and not a mental health condition. Sad.

You have wrapped this malady around your delicate, poetic sentiment but that
EL is what your so good at, and now, what we expect of you; to be delicate
and sentimental. I love your choice of title. Puppet (anything) gets my
attention.

Your amazing, dana

This was very powerful dear Elisa. To be lost within your mind, a puppet dancing schizophrenic, imagery that unveils yet clouds... Stuck in this trap that is your own minds prison of altered reality... My heart is with you dear, In your loved ones' struggles.

: ) lol I actually didn't understand this poem. How cool!! I had ideas and blueprints of Schizophrenia on my mind, reading this, but I am at a loss and STILL enjoy the wordplay you apply so fancy-free to paint these dramatic scenes of scents and emotion!! xoxo -Your Mark

I've witnessed this mental illness and, um, it is tough to see...I remember pleading with his dad to seek help for my cousin after I seen him homeless, not bathed, not shavened, hair grown long...picking cigarette butts from a trash can...he had that thousand yard stare...it was really scary...I'm just glad he's in a facility where they can treat him. He was a straight A student too, just ran with the wrong crowd.

I love this write...very Deep and emotional...it shows you care, but at the same time wondering how can you care for someone who is tail spinning from something within that is not in her control. Nicely done, Elisa.

I understand it. It's mind-twistingy brilliant, of course, and creatively ingenious. You've written it almost as if you;re going through it yourself. The mind is very strange and strong, intriguingly mysterious. Sometimes I get lost in there for hours it seems...I hope your dear someone doesn't get too lost through it and is able to find their way back. This is a beautiful piece, thank you.
