The splendid view

On the ninth floor

My heart beat

Faster,

Euforia in my lungs

Eyes closed

The swallows

On my balcony

Nestled in a nest

On the rough wall

The quiet feeling of their

Velocity, faster then sound

Their dancing

In the evening air

I stared for a while

At the red purple sunset

With orange edges,

A fine glass of  “Rioja”

In my left hand

Enjoying the

Wavy azure sea

The love from the south

Balancing into the right rhythm

The sunset waved music

The horizon some notes

In a moment of ecstasy

And pure freedom,

I saw myself sitting,

Smiling, eyes closed again

Leaning back

Senses sharp,

To the time of all times

Listening, breathing

The music,

The music which never ends

Alive…

      Alise… Ah sí...

Author's Note

One of the many...... observations of a delicious eve in Spain.
Enjoy, Alise means "smooth" in Spanish, but also it has the letters
of my name. X

La musica never ends, in a warm heart...

I love the Spanish feel, I myself am a Spaniard, though an American. Your poem was very beautiful, and it's display of a wonderful, natural; and oftenly taken for granted setting, is something that speaks about the person you are, all in a positive light.

Lovely bit of prose. The Spanish masters of art and prose flow through you at this moment.

Thank you so much :) dear friend
The way you have captured a beautiful moment, it instantly takes me to a place in a past life. I have played the music 3 times because my memory is so poignant. This reminds me of the final night spent in Cortona, Italy with someone very special to me... Your wonderful poem takes me back to a time and place that has vanished forever. You are the real artist...Elisa
