~ The Silent Rose

Words spoken out loud,

In a dream of silence

Days, run away like trains

On rusty railways

Doors open, for new passengers

But I'm holding on my rose,

Petals with each a story

To climb in my daily mind

To tell me; as they keep me moving

With the color of deep red

Fragrance and mortality,

Are born in little treasures...

I Watch them fall down

Piece by piece slowly on my knee

Splendid imagery in this one, Elisa. I could almost see the petals falling slowly and tickling her knee. The music is hauntingly beautiful! "Days, run away like trains on rusty railways" heart touching emotion here, my friend. Excellent work. Knuffels, Lydi**

Hehe, well me too somehow :) thanks, I like that vibe :)
These words live deep under the skin of years lived and loved, it's resolute in it' romantic visions and daydreams. I've never seen the movie, nor heard this song before, but I don't think it was necessary, although the music went well. There is a 'feel' in your words which transcends. Lovely Eli...as are you.

Facing one's mortality is not an easy thing, but alas it is something we must face sooner or later. Great piece and i love this song- though I prefer the original version better. :)

you are welcome! :)
There are certain kinds of music and poems that open up a casket of memories, feeling, sights , smells and sounds that the body stores in that special place of over but once in a while, when the feeling of youthful squirms in your blood, you feel it again, how it felt back then, to be in love all over again.
