~ I know we love Green E.L. Elisa Laura, the state of being total off the world, of feeling love, and being sick... of love, sick and tired of being sick and tired....

"

~ I know we love Green

Through my window pane, this morning,

I saw a little bird resting on the

Branch of my giant

Oak Tree in front of my house;

It must have been you, resting

From a long trip, gasping for some air,

Talking to the morning magpies,

And reaching for me as my day clock

Has passed for days, into nightly slumbers;

Half fuzzy I wake, and see you there,

Reaching me, but my head is too numb;

Too tired, of all I’ve been through,

I can’t even turn from right to left,

So I speak to you in my dreams…

Following out of sight, flitting in at the edges of perception, the Cheshire cat disappearing among the trees and materialising when the chaos plaguing Alice is most thick. Is that Fate I see in the distance? Or is it the echoes of the past come back to visit?
Such a personal and poignant poem, Elisa. Incredible. :) xx

This is so you Elisa. It is soft and tender, beautiful and loving and just carefree enough to bring a smile to my face. This, I can tell, came from somewhere deep inside. I do wish you a quick recovery for your smile is truly missed here.

Gorgeous natural expression Elisa, transmitting this state of being to me so profoundly, your own kind of bell jar... Seeing dreams in this exhausted and hazed state of lost between night and day, looking between the ethereal layers of the visitors that stop by in green. Rest well my dear... I miss you and hope to see you recovered and back here soon...

Oh, the beauty in this one, my dear friend... I feel the emotion right to the tips of my toes and fingers. I love the melancholy aspect of staring out of the window to see a little bird that is the bird of possibility, and yet that is all that it is, because this love can only be found in dreams. A journey, a catharsis, an expedition of the heart...beautiful.

I love the picture of the humming bird you chose for this piece. I am also really fond of of your second stanza, and the lines where it talks about the other person returning from that long journey. I've also had experiences like the last three lines of your third stanza. Those instances are truly draining and heart-breaking. Well written my friend!

P.S: One small thing: I think you could remove the words "On a" from the third line of stanza one. I think that would clean of the rhythm of those lines a bit.
