For you, I would dance infinitely,

Along the sparkling canals

Of Amsterdam,

 

In the depths of the night,

Where I live, and see;

 

And feel the passion of my death,

Slowly creep in, at every pass I make…

 

I want to touch your ivory beauty,

Almost taste, the passion of your strings;

Where you and me collide in fire…

 

Your dark shine, your hair;

And the reflection of the morning glory

Your teeth as white as our kiss;

 

All this makes our music more intense,

We are love and the invisible…

 

Evaporated air whirls through my fingers,

And I finally breathe out, my last breath...

 

It was you, for who I shone, and 

                It was you I played…

I last saw Amsterdam in the deep snow. When the canals were frozen and everywhere looked like a Bruegel. This poem has the same baroque splendour. Gorgeous.

Oh that must have been idyllic, and beautiful... so glad you saw the city in deep winter... it has a magical way with it then. Nice you name Pieter Bruegel... I love his paintings. Thank you so much for being here Ken, I come soon by! :)

Thank you thank you, Franz Liszt is Hungarian yes, like you, and has a one of my many rooted "Austrian" part woven through him too... "Smiling" I wrote this one in silence, :) then after, I have mostly some music/melodies in my head, and the piece of Liszt did fit best, in my somehow robust, but absolute ears... ;p lol thank you very much!
