~ Echoes

  The dusk of thoughts, felt aloof

          Where once a spectrum of light

From your presence held home,

             In the darker shimmer, minute by

Minute where the sun settled down, and the trees swayed

                        I silently kept my faith,

                     I loved my sky of

       Emerald hue, where clouds in little light passed by;

  And the sea sang songs, with foam of wisdom

                   Whooshing against the quay -

          Your voice, echoed a thousand times

                  Where a hundred times you’d  say;

       You’re winged my love, follow me and you

             Will see, where I just hide at day.

This speaks in volumes to me...Love echoing across distances was felt instantly while reading this.

I adore how almost every line line is broken. Bringing the love back around, over and over it seems..(I really like this style of formatting.)

The faith being silently kept. ^^ The beautiful night imagery crossing skies and oceans..Then the ending with the truth. Hehe (You are winged dear and so is your poetry.)

Finally the challenge. Follow on. xo

I seem to always get stuck with poetry which demands a fair amount of thinking activity and every so often I end up coming around to your place and having read a few of your writings I always get undone by how your writings have imbued themselves by atmosphere. And we are let to know that thoughts of a higher nature have descended and although you are describing aspects of a relationship again it is surrounded as if held by nature. And then we are let to know hat this being is of invting nature he is also willing to show you his hiding place.

Oh if I only had wings I would be after him

Thankyou

Enchanting poetry, sweet Eli! The romance is strong and yet there is a melancholy thread running through your well written lines. " And the sea sang songs, with foam of wisdom" That line is one I will not soon forget. Amazing poetry! Lydi**

If I could imprint this review with my physical and emotional reaction, I would. Though words are short to describe it; you do well in your world--converging with the rest of all things.
