Overdose

Overdose

A Poem by
"

What happens when you lose someone to drugs.

"

Alone in my room and starting to shake

Its been an hour since I got baked

It wasn't strong enough so I got something new

I wasn't sure exactly what it will do

I took the powder and put it into lines

Mom always said everything's worth a try

I took the straw and snorted 4 rows

I had a tingling sensation in my nose

My heart beated faster so I took more

My chest started to feel really sore

I did one last one and then I stopped

The medics said my heart just popped

A woman was next to the bed crying her tears

Her son only lived fifteen years

It was determined an overdose and that was it

But drugs just took her only kid

it's very sad. it is so hard to stop doing the white lines. you just keep wanting more. this poem shows what happens when you take too much...shouldn't have been on it anyway. great poem.
