Opaquely Invisible

Opaquely Invisible

A Poem by

Locked inside a box
Hoping one day the world will see me
But for now I'm in a current
The crashing waves of reality.
Possessing a reflection
Owning a visible shadow
Not even close to perfection
So I'm outcast-ed and trapped
Like a prisoner in the dungeon of a castle.
Pounding like crazy
For the earth to set me loose
Why am I to be treated this way?
I'm a human too.
I cry of being alone
Beating the gate that surrounds me smugly
Out of exhaustion, I collapse to the floor
Not wanting to feel my pain anymore.

This is an incredibly well-written poem. I too understand the pain of alienation and the lack of feeling acknowledged. It's horrible and I hope you are doing ok. Very expressive write here.
