I Offered You Butterfly

I Offered You Butterfly

I offered you butterfly
you tore off it's wings
I offered you a loving touch
you said it stings
Said you wanted to be alone
with your own nightmares
Said you refused to believe in
a love that cares

So You walk this world alone
emptiness is all you've known.
No, You won't come in from the rain
You said you rather like
the pain..

Oh my word, how did you come
to see the world this way
Isn't it also true that
Nature invented play.

Pain isn't necessarily
the only road to Peace
Love more surely brings you there
by healing your dis-ease

You don't have to walk alone
Reach out, take the hand that's shown
Baby you can soar again
from the love in the eyes
of a friend

Baby, You can soar again
From the love in the eyes of a friend..
