Darkness why do you call to me?

You embrace my happy heart 

With thoughts of letting go

Strike me down when i feel like I am strong

You pathetic thing

You are a little monster within shadows 

Slithering out of that door I put you behind

You reek of such stench

That i would rather not smell 

The smell of decay

Darkness why do you call me?

When all seems well?

I banished you 

Kept you locked away

You reach out 

Just one of your pointed fingers...

I hear that tone

Raspy and groggy

Whisper to my ear..

"Have you missed me, my darling? Is it time to play?"
