Scattered Memories, Scattered Flesh

Scattered Memories, Scattered Flesh

A Poem by Austin Wade Runyon

Scattered Memories, Scattered Flesh
by Sundrowner (Austin Runyon)

I wither in place like a dahlia
I die on my feet like a coward
I blown my brains out with a shotgun
Now my family will have to live off my corpse
In the aftermath the weakest will follow
As I have taken lead

Sad poem about someone on the brink. Sadder still the effect of death by suicide on those left behind. For close relatives, it will break them without a doubt. This little piece of brevity has quite an impact.
