Love/Hate

Love/Hate

A Poem by Sara
"

My feelings for you all summed up in one of my best works yet. If you ever happen to stumble upon to this, I hope you understand and feel what I've felt.

"

My heart bleeds, aches in time to your heartbeat.

You betrayed every ounce of my soul,

Tossed me away like yesterday’s trash.

I know I hurt you and I did my time,

But you…

You wronged me.

You took a knife and sliced me open.

You burned my eyes and made me bleed.

You promised your love and you rejected me.

I hate you.

Yet…

When I see you my heart stops.

I lose my breath and butterflies erupt

In the pit of my stomach.

I receive a text message from you,

My knees become weak.

I can’t forget your burning touch,

Your poisonous kisses.

The way you held me lovingly…

I still love you…

I always will…

You’re a parasite.

Creeping in my blood and scorching me,

A white hot fire that ignites every sensation.

Don’t you understand what you are to me?

You were the one thing I loved more than myself.

The one person whom I felt made me complete.

I loved you…

I despised you…

But...

I have to say,

Thank you.

For making me stronger.

For making me realize that I’m worth something.

That I deserve better.

I hope you’re happy, wherever the hell you are.

I know I’m happy where I am.

And just to let you know…

I forgive you for breaking my heart.
