Ellie

Ellie

A Poem by Michael Xavier

Her inner hard corners guard a paint stained and singing heart

A soft exterior of which eyes            and souls

       Admire                 Seek

Have you seen an angel smile?

[you have now]

Some voices effect you

The soft beauty of hers wil (shock you)

Yet how can such beauty

Face such pain
