Dante is the pack alpha of the lycan pack I am part of in the roleplay.

"

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi stands, stretching slightly, as he walks to an open spot in the clearing. He tried to distance himself a good ways from the viewers so that they wouldn't be hurt should things get too hot. He closes his eyes, taking a few deep breaths, feeling his body relax and grow cold as shadows began to cover his body, crawling over every inch and spanning out in a sphere that was easily fifteen foot in each direction. The area around Malachi would start to grow dark under the tremendous power being drawn from the Shadow Realm, small sparks appearing in places as the conflicting air currents created a slight static to the area. Slowly the sphere would begin to recede, drawing back into Malachi. his wings would be the first thing visible, the feathers made of star-metal, the tips sharp as the point of a sword. They stretched out twelve foot, easily flexing with their weight. The next thing would be his head, now standing at his full seven foot height, foot and a half horns potruding from his forehead where there now rested a black hood. His skin had changed to a pitch black color, webbed with white-gray scars. A sword now rested in it's sheath on his back, the blade black but made from the same star-metal as his wings. Armor covered the majority of his body, openings only at his elbows and neck for free movement. When all the shadows finally cleared, there was still a slight aura around him that only Dante and Saph would see. It was a barrier of air that allowed Mala to sense any movements within it's five foot radius. His head was facing the ground, he lifted his hand, placing a black mask on his face that was studded with metal spikes. It served two purposes, to block out any unwanted gasses or vapors, and to protect his face. He turned to face his opponent, drawing his sword and letting it hang loosely at his side, his posture still relaxed, his eyes still bright with excitement. He nodded to Dante, signalling that he was ready.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante followed behind Mala, letting him choose the location of the battlefield. Already tremors of anticipation were obvious in his body as he mentally prepared himself for the fight. It was simple enough for Dante to sit back and watch the change, something that was expected to occur with Mala for this fight. Wings often made fighting between one who could not fly and one that could rather difficult, but in a forest that was not always the case. A tree could be used to gain hieght equal to that of an oppoent should they not move higher than the treetops. However even with such an advantage as flight, Dante always had his elements to depend upon. Wind currents could be shifted or gusts could be blown to easily force an airborne oppoent to reconsider their plan of attack. Noting the sparks crafted by the shifting air currents, Dante had to smile inwardly as the Darkened element of his body, Lightning, would easily be enough to counter. To be quite honest, any sort of electrical attack was pointless to try against Dante, his element one to consume such attacks oly to have them thrown back later with his added strength. All other changes were rather pointless to take note of at the moment since it was naught but appearance and making his oppoent that much larger of a target. However the barrier might prove to be fun to work with. Dante would have test out just how well it worked, and if it was to sense attacks or to defend against them. A nod was all that Dante needed to know his oppoent was ready. Highly unlike his oppoent, Dante wore no sort of protection upon his body, the gentle forest breeze ruffling the fur which covered him from head to toe. A few times the fur would shift just enough to show off a scar or two upon his body, obvious signs of the fights that had kept him alive and formed Dante into the fighter he was. Standing at around six foot four, Dante was not small by any measure, however he was dwarfed by his oppoent's size. A tail half his own length was swaying out behind his body, something that could easily be just as deadly as the razor sharp claws or the wicked canines which had slid into view for but a moment. The only weapons which Dante had brought with him for this fight were the liquid metal hilts that were kept safely strapeed to his forearms by the gauntlets which he wore. It was nothing much of an attack to begin with when Dante outstreatched one of his arms towards Mala, but it would soon been seen as just how dangerous those liquid metal hilts were. Almost like a bullet, a three inch needle of the metal was spat free from the hilt to soar towards Mala, aimmed at the pivot point that most armor had upon the neck to allow for movement. The attack was fairly simple, the use of Earth to craft the metal to Dante's will and a little Wind to fire it off.-

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi grinned underneath his mask as he took note of Dante's posture and lack of protection. He knew however that Dante was not one to be taken for granted in any way. His wings were not particularly used to fly as they were for extra protection and/or weapons. He knew that Dante was a force to be reckoned with, but still his confidence did not falter. His silver hued eyes never lost their glow as he watched Dante lift his arm. He watched not only the movement, but everything around Dante, searching for any signs of elemental manipulation. There may have been a possibility that Dante knew how to mask this sign, or maybe the attack would be a simple one. Not anything Malachi had expected from Dante. At that point he noticed the flicker in the current, the change in direction of the winds as Dante used it to launch the small projectile toward him. It was almost hard to see in the light. He stood as still as possible until the needle reached the tip of the barrier. He raised his sword to where the movement had occured, the small aura around him alerting him of the exact location. The needle bounced off the sword and he returned his gaze to Dante. The expression he held was one of slight confusion. Had Dante really expected to accomplish anything with that attack. Surely he was planning something else. His gaze changed from one of confusion to one of determination as he turned to fully face his opponent. The air began to thicken with power as Malachi allowed the shadows to surge through his being, tapping the deepest, darkest ends of the shadow realm. He seemed to take one step forward, untrained eyes seeing an after-image where he once stood as he rushed toward Dante, sheathing his sword as he nears. His steps zig-zag as he seemed to appear and reappear in different places. When he was finally upon Dante, He raised his right  hand, his fist closed tight as he threw a solid punch aimed for Dante's chest, followed by another by his left hand aimed for Dante's right kidney. His last move being a knee to Dante's abdomen. It would be a hard attack to follow, much less defend against. Only draw-back was he only left himself one route of escape. He could have chosen to use the elements to their full extent, but against Dante he had learned better than to do so, and stuck to the basics for the time being.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -The attack had done exactly what Dante had wanted it to do, taking note as the needle easily pierced through the barrier, only to be blocked by Mala’s sword. So, Dante thought to himself as he paid heed, the barrier is not there for defense, but to see actions around the body to allow for a longer time to react. It would be useful obviously to avoid or block an attack, but would be pointless if the object in question was moving at a high velocity. After all, five feet was only so much of a barrier and should a projectile be moving at a speed faster than five feet per second, the barrier would fail as a defense more than likely. It was not with his eyes however that Dante was watching Mala, well aware of how he fought and this was the norm as well for any that he did not know how they fought. No, Dante was watching the elements around. The Earth to feel for vibrations of movement, the Air as likewise to detect the shift in currents. At a range of six feet, Dante was deadly accurate with his elemental senses, however further it was nothing but a whisper. When Mala took that step forward, there was a shift in the air and Dante knew what he was up to. The image he was seeing was thanks to the ability Mala had to adjust the shadows, adjusting the way light would be moved around to leave what most would call an After image. However Dante had a way of doing this as well. So it was when Mala launched the punch at his kidney that Dante used his control of Wind to tamper with the particles passing through to form an After image of his own that actually reacted. The image seemed to take the blow and bend in at where it had been made, though if Mala paid attention to it there would be no feeling of weight shifting as with an actual body. No, Dante had drawn back by a single step in the space of time a heartbeat would go by, seemingly a second self appearing behind the one which took the blow. The further Mala’s fist would travel, the more the image would be adjusted until it would slip and shatter. However the purpose was to cause confusion and allow for a closer range between the two. Since Mala had come into Dante’s range of element senses where they were the fullest, he easily picked apart how the barrier worked and used his control of Wind to mimic the airflow as if there was nothing where he stood. Before the After image Dante had left shattered, a hand burst through the chest and at the close range of perhaps a foot or two Dante shot off another one of the needles towards the pivot point of Mala’s armor. This one was only about an inch in length, enough to be able to draw blood and embed itself into the body where one would have to stop to pull it free if Dante did not draw it out himself. Already Dante knew what he was going to do for this fight, and while he attacked Mala his other arm swept out behind his back to send a flurry of needles out across the battlefield. Dante had a limit of six feet to perform elemental manipulation when he did not have a medium. The metal would act as a medium, capable of staying active for a few days even should the fight proceed that long. The needles embedded within the ground and waited, locking into a grid formation that would have one needle no more than six feet from another. This would extend the range of Dante’s manipulation exponentially, giving him the ability to use his powers anywhere within the grid’s reach.-

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi of course would immediately notice the after-image that dante used to defend his attack, but he had moved to swiftly and still hit the thing that stood where Dante was. He cursed to himself as he watched Dante's arm come through the shattered image of Dante. The needle did just as Dante had wanted it to, pushing into malachi's flesh, sinking at an angle into his right pectoral as he turned to try and avoid it. It hurt for a moment, but he didn't bother to remove it. He left it embedded in his chest as he took a step back to observe the field, glancing around at the needles in the ground, quickly averting his eyes back to his opponent. He had rushed his attack, and as a result left himself open to Dante's counter attacks. If he wanted to win this fight, he would need more than just strength. He would have to think. Try to predict his opponent's movements, and patterns. He stood facing Dante, his arms down to his sides, his chest wide open. He tilted his head to the left and removed the needle that was embedded in his chest. He tossed the bloody metal to the side, a grin playing wickedly over his lips under his mask. Dante was just as prepared for his attacks as he was Dante's They were both apparently defensive fighters, and both using the elements as a defense. The only way he could think to throw Dante off would be to cause the Elements to shift in multiple places, leaving Dante to have to guess which was actually him. The idea was a good one, but playing it out would be tough. He glanced around, taking in all his surroundings. He once again faced Dante, his eyes narrowed in concentration as pebbles around him began to tremble on the ground, grass and trees bending under abnormal winds, water raised from the river in vapors that followed the abnormal currents. the trembling on the ground slowly became a deep rumble as the ground beneath their feet began to shake. This, however, was not an elemental occurence. This was Malachi tapping into the full extent of his shadows, the power he tapped enough to destroy realms in whole. The way he figured, the rumbling along with the swirling vapors would cloud Dante's elemental senses, as he would now sense all these disturbances as well as Malachi himself. Malachi began to hover off the ground, his hands held open at his sides, his chest open and exposed, his eyes glaring from within the darkness growing around his body.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante watched as the attack managed to connect this time, yet it was when Mala took a step back to try and observe what was going on that Dante’s arms swept forward, the needles cascading like a torrent of rain to embed upon the landscape. Soon the entire battlefield was littered with the needles, just what Dante needed for this fight. Those exact senses for his elemental manipulation had grown now to cover over the battlefield. The needle had served its purpose to stop Mala for the time, making him think in this fight as Dante better prepared the battlefield for his advantage. So it was when Mala decided to try and confuse Dante’s senses that he might have been in for a surprise. It was if a painting had been made within Dante’s mind, ever shifting as he found note of what was in fact going on. The rumbling of the earth was little more than that, just a rumbling though it did appear to be a sign of Mala pulling together his shadows for later on in the fight. That was all fine for Dante, who was taking this time to craft out a weapon finally for the match. The liquid silver was pouring out over Dante’s arm, pooling upon the ground before it began to reform itself. A wicked single edged blade that ran on for a good four feet in length tapering off at the guard to end with a hilt large enough for a two handed hold sprung to life. Soon Dante hefted this weapon, resembling an extended katana though it was obvious from the sheen of the metal that the sword was unordinary. In the hilt itself, there was a pool of liquid metal that could be used for fine adjustments to the weapon in mid fight. The amount was great enough to extend the reach by a full three feet, making the idea of using sight to fight Dante futile. Often in the past this was the case since he did prefer hidden weapons or ones that could change during the fight to surprise an opponent into thinking they were safe just before feeling the metal biting into their bodies. Now facing the darkness with was collecting around Mala, Dante was stoic in his features. There was no hint as to what he might be thinking, nor shift in his eyes as he rushed forward in a charge towards Mala. The tip of the blade was running a line through the dirt, kicking the dust into the wind as the grey veil hiding Dante’s eyes shattered. A blaze of silver shone clearly through the cloud as Dante began to draw forth a charge to run through the blade. Contact now would be enough to cause damage since the current running through would target the nerve endings to create a surging pain to course through them. Add upon that if the blade ever managed to enter the body, it would be as good as a lightning rod straight to the heart.-

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi watched as he saw Dante create his weapon, taking a firm hold of the hilt and rushing toward him. He had only seconds to react, so he would have to think quickly. Dante showed no obvious signs of planning, as if the attack were just sudden and rushed. Malachi knew Dante was too smart for that. There was some kind of strategy behind what he was doing. It was just the problem of figuring out what it was. Malachi quickly drew his own blade, but did not bring it up to defend himself, instead lowering the tip of his blade to the ground, the tip resting in the dirt. Finally near his full potential, he stopped pulling from the realm, falling slowly to rest on the ground once more. the ground stopped it's heaving, and Dante seemed to move at least half as fast as he really was. Malachi's senses so intact that he could feel everything that was happening in the forest. The birds among the trees, the insects on the ground, the members of the pack talking and wandering about, and the tip of Dante's blade rushing toward him. He jumped back slightly from Dante's jab, folding his wings around his body and allowing the tip of Dante's blade to glint off their surface. He pushed them back out, letting them stretch back out to the sides, attempting to deflect Dante's blade, and in the same movement raising his own in an upward arc / sweep, aiming a hard slash from Dante's waist to his left shoulder. The blow would only be enough to cut, but do no further damage, as it was meant as a distraction. His eyes fell on Dante's blade, and where it may land in retaliation to hiw attack. The mist that he had created before continued to swarm around the two combatants, almost as if it were a storm of vapor. His own eyes glowed just as brightly as Dante's. His body filled with the familiar battle rage that came with every spar, the adrenaline that made his body numb, his limbs light, and his senses on high.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante let his blade be pushed away, but it was in that single moment of contact that he sent the current pulsing into Mala’s wings. He had little knowledge if the wings would act as a conductor or if the current would even manage to faze Mala, however either way it would be no worse to have the charge cause nothing than for the blow to have been deflected as it was. The ground quieted itself beneath their feet as it seemed that Mala had finished drawing forth his strength from the shadows. Yet by using only a single hand to wield the blade, Dante was able to raise his other arm to have Mala’s blow connect with the gauntlet that held his liquid metal. The impact was cushioned by colliding with the canister that held the highly compressed metal. Though it certainly was not a good thing since the pressure burst out in a small explosion to send a spray of the liquid metal mixture. As close as they were to one another, it would be nigh impossible to get away from the liquid, which would easily pour through the cracks or hinges of Mala’s armor should it spill over him. Dante though would have taken the worst of this when the explosion threw him back by a good sixteen feet, landing him dead center in the battlefield. What the explosion would do to the blade, there was no telling, nor was there any telling what would happen to Mala. He was coated in a layer of the liquid metal as well. Though as Dante began to rise, using only a single arm as the other had been severely injured in the explosion, his mind was quick at work to think of a way to use this to his advantage.-

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi's eyes widened as the draft of wind partially threw off his balance, and the shockwave from the explosion throwing him back a good twelve foot, landing himself on his back. He looked down at the armor which was now coated in the liquid metal and rendered the hinges useless. He muttered and tossed off all but the arm-guards and leggings. He pulled off his hood, stroking his hair back as he did so. He raised back to his feet, staring down the field at Dante, his eyes still showing the shock from the explosion. He shook his head as the ringing had yet to subside, and lifted his blade, only lust then noticing that it had been blown off down to the hilt. He scowled and tossed the broken blade to the ground, slowly chanting to himself in a language that closely resembled demonic. his eyes darkened as another hilt appeared in his hand, the blade forming slowly from it. It was going to take too long to form the blade, but it seemed that Dante needed a few moments to gather himself as well. He looked down to the new blade he was forming, flicking his gaze between it and Dante, keeping his gurad up at all times, though his posture remained relaxed.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante knew that this fight was not one that he would be able to carry one thanks to the damage to his arm. There needed to be a way that he could end it all in one quick stoke, and thankfully he knew just how to accomplish such a task. The current which had been running into Dante’s arm pooled itself when he dropped the blade during the explosion. Crackles of the Darkened Lightning collecting could be easily heard as Dante finally stood to see Mala trying to quickly form up a sword from the shadows. Hopefully this plan would work, since if it did not Dante would be at a huge disadvantage afterwards. The liquid metal had already been affected during the match, so where it had spilled over Dante would have control thanks to the grid which he had formed up at the beginning of the match. His eyes were looking over Mala, and though he was not certain, he thought that he saw traces of it in his wings. If so then that would be all that Dante needed to make this next drastic move. Dante charged straight for Mala, gathering what was left of the liquid metal upon his body and in the remaining hilt to collect around the arm in which he had managed to collect the high voltage in. It was quick, and would only manage to finish forming perhaps a second before he needed it but that was all Dante required. Any of the liquid metal that had spilled over Mala’s body would suddenly contract and harden to drastically reduce mobility. If it was in his wings, as Dante thought that it was, those would be unable to lower to collect around his body as a barrier. It was certainly taking a drastic risk, but Dante needed just such a risk to be made. In an attempt to further help the chances of his success, Dante managed to form two After images which ran alongside him. The three began to weave around one another as the air seemed to shimmer when the element was used to hide away which one was actually solid. Finally Dante had closed the distance, and as he sank under Mala’s arm in a sudden burst of speed, his arm was out thrown towards his chest just as the two mimicking After images followed suit. The liquid metal by that time had formed a bladed gauntlet over Dante’s hand. The already razor sharp claws were coated in the metal, giving them a length now of two and a half inches. The point was to pierce into Mala’s body and let loose the charge directly within. The voltage was just strong enough that it would be able to stop the heart for a moment and knock Mala unconscious, however should the attack miss then Dante was in a vulnerable position close to Mala’s body. Also there was no telling if his wings would be able to close around Mala to trap Dante in at that close range. Dante had gone for an end to the fight and threw in what he had, now it was up to ate to see what hand he would be dealt.-

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi watched Dante move toward him, the speed he demonstrated was increible, and he could sense the lightning building within his opponent. He glanced down to the incomplete blade, then back to his opponent as he made the two after-images, the three beings weaving around each other. He cursed, abandoning hope on the blade, and only then realizing that his wings had been immobilized as he tried to fold them over. Again he cursed his luck as he turned to his only option, one that he was not fond of turning to. He waited. Waited unti lthe moment Dante was upon him, channeling every shadow from within his body to a center point. Dante's strike would meet it's mark, and just as Malachi had suspected, he was hit with a major electrical current. But the shadows acted quickly, catching the current from the lightning, and flowing back into the realm. Malachi, still not completely at his full potential, could still open the portal between the worlds, and in doing so, he not only dispatched his opponent's source of power, but his own as well. As the current left his body along with the shadows, he looked down to the point that Dante had made contact, reaching up to grab Dante's wrist. If he was successful, he would pull dane upward, driving the blade dante had made so roughly into his own shoulder as he made eye contact with his adversary. He knew that that was Dante's attempt at ending the match, which also meant he too was out of juice. If he were to grab Dante and pull him in, we would attempt to land a devastating elbow to the back of Dante's neck, enough to knock him unconcious, but not kill him. Should he miss the grab however, he would simply wait and watch to see how Dante would act next.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante watched as he saw Mala take the hit and remain standing. It was enough to make Dante stop just long enough to not notice the grab made for his wrist; however the contact was enough to jar him into an instinctive reaction when an opponent managed to actually grab a hold of his body. A quick pull of both legs upward would fit Dante’s feet between himself and Mala, feeling as his claws and the pads of his feet made contact. What current was left that Dante could spare from the normal amount that ran through Dante’s body thanks to his Darkened element, would collect upon the points of contact and then seep into his opponent. The charge after making such an attack however, was little more than enough to force a convulsion of the muscles in which Dante felt the grip loosen just enough upon his wrist to press off of Mala’s body with his feet and leap away by a good six feet. It was obvious that Dante was tired by this point, the training earlier today and now the spar with Mala taking their toll upon his body. However he would refuse to go down easily. It was obvious now that Mala was unable to close his wings, something that brought a smile to Dante’s lips. He still had one last tactic that he could try. Though it would not be lethal by any means, it would be a method that Dante had used in the past to cripple an opponent for a good while. Normally this was down to collect a bounty or catch someone that he needed alive for one reason or another. All it took was a slap of his tail upon the ground and the grid he had made with the needles seemed to respond by leaping from the earth. A sharp retort of Wind drained away what was left of Dante’s reserves, the blast throwing the needles towards Mala’s body. They would aim for places such as joints and areas which would prevent him from moving as the cloud of three inch long needles soared for him in a closing net. Those that were close beneath his feet would be the worst however, having a more direct shot towards the vulnerable unarmored body. This would be it for elements that Dante would be able to use in the fight should it continue. All he would have left is the blade he had formed earlier at the start of the match which was a ways off to his side, and the use of melee. But even then Dante would not be able to go for very long before his body would end up making a mistake.

MalachiRavensBlood: -Malachi felt the charge go through his muscles, forcing him to release his grip on Dante before he could follow through with his attack. He felt his flesh rip under his arm as Dante ripped free. He stumbled back, kicking one of the spikes in the ground loose. He looked back for half a second, looking back up to see Dante's eyes lit and focused. Malachi's eyes scanned the area to figure out what he was planning. He watched as the needles jumped from the ground. He knew that Dante was a powerful foe, a force to be reckoned with. When he had made this challenge he did not expect it to be so challenging as it had been. He growled under his breath as he felt the needles twitch, knowing what Dante was about to do. He had to think quickly. He knew that the Realm was off-limits, seeing as how pulling from it would only cause him to fall unconscious. He couldn't use the built up lightning against Dante as that was his sole element. His eyes darted, realizing he was completely surrounded by the needles. It was more than enough to immobilize him. He wouldn't be able to fly away from them, his wings were useless. He, not being able to come up with anything better, crouched low to the ground, holding his arm guards over his head, pulling his knees over his lower body to protect them. His lover back would be left open to the attack however and would take a large toll on his stamina if they hit, but they would not knock him unconscious. It was then only did he notice the ones coming from underneath his protective "Shell", as they stabbed into his biceps and triceps on each side. The shadows being spent, he had no way of numbing the pain. He screamed out once as they made contact, standing weakly as they took their tool on him. He slumped slightly, grimacing and yelling as he began to remove the needles from his arms. He would have to ignore the ones in his back for now, moving through the pain. His eyes seeing red, blurring slightly under the pain. Blood dripped down his arms as he dropped the needles to the ground. He felt blood trickling down his legs from his back. Still, being weakened as he was, he knew that Dante too was mostly spent. He stood straight up, looking directly to Dante as he spoke, though his eyes were blank.- I challenged you so that I could experience your power first-hand. I did not expect a victory from the beginning. You are a very worthy opponent, and you much deserve the rank you have, and the respect you require of the pack here. Now, standing here before you, I offer you a draw. If you accept, we will walk away whole, and stronger. And you will have my unconditional respect from here on out. If you decline however, you will be at a slight disadvantage, and I will have to resign myself. -He stood where he was, watching Dante and waiting for his response, never dropping his guard.-

DanteLykaonisVain: -Dante saw the determination in Mala’s eyes as he managed to remain standing after the barrage of needles. His words were true; Dante would be at a disadvantage more than likely. Though from the corner of his eye, the gleam of the blade he had crafted earlier in the match reminded Dante that he had something at this point that Mala did not. Both of their bodies were more than likely exhausted from the fighting thus far, though Mala had a larger range to the damage which had been dealt thanks to Dante’s last attack. All Dante had was his now useless arm thanks to the explosion from earlier. It was without a word that Dante made his way towards the blade, lifting it to point towards Mala’s chest. Words were softly spoken as Dante began to slowly walk towards his opponent like this.- I do thank you for the compliments Mala, and yes this has certainly been a fun match for me. "With so close a distance between the two to start, the point of Dante’s blade would come perhaps within inches of Mala’s chest should he let it. A quick lift would bring the flat of the blade rising high over Mala’s head, quickly coming back down to try and smack him atop the head as Dante smirks.- The draw sounds nice, but you owe me a new gauntlet.
