One to One

One to One

A Poem by DyKo
"

What is truly said within words.

"
In a thousand words one

can say as many things

or none at all.

depending on the way

They’re said, or not said in

fact.

if said, as not, then perhaps

not words are, but filler and

worth none but to take time

from those who need it.

else said, not as not, but said

to say

a noun

a verb

a topic perhaps.

A thousand nouns to say

a sentence. Long, in depth,

Important perhaps. Though in

thought seems waste of breath

of word and time.

Why use thousands when one

means hundred.

In a hundred words one may say

A thousand or none.

Though why one would wish

to say a thousand with so many

Words is beyond understanding.

Though to say not is equally unexplainable

When thought as frequently.

For perhaps, if truly negative, a hundred

is warranted

Though what a waste to speak so long

on something so horrid.

But why use hundred

when one means ten.

In ten words one may say as many

and more, hundred and thousand or

None in truth.

And in truth perhaps could be said with

ten, though long drawn out that would be.

Short is more truthful perhaps is a rule.

Then long winded in speech may lie throughout.

Why use ten when one

means one.

For in one, one may say

A thousand

A hundred

Ten

Or none

Though this may seem a long

endeavor

With one it is short

No waste

No time

Why use ten

Or hundred,

Thousand

When one has one

And all one needs

Is one to one.
