Pretend

Pretend

A Poem by Elizabeth Kerns

I'm sitting here thinking what I did wrong,
When did this get so complicated ?
Why can't you just be there for me ?
Instead you just brush me off your shoulder,
pretend like I never existed,
pretend like we never existed. . .

This poem is written with the intensity that only a poem can contain. The short lines speak of a tragic world with mistakes and things that are gone. The things that sting and the spreading pain sets a fire. Nice job on this poem...another amazing one, truly. Don't loose sight of the future, great things are calling your name! Nicely penned. Best regards,
Dell

About
I love reading and writing. I'm almost always reading a new book. I love romance but there has to be some kind of suspense. Anyways, I haven't written anything on here in a while but I'm planning on .. more..
