Go to Where the Raven Flies

Go to Where the Raven Flies

A Poem by XxWhatsername86

Go to Where the Raven Flies

See how I go and tear out my heart now

Watch as the paper crumbles and burns

Let the voice rip, break into darkness

And see the pieces shower into life....

In the rain she walks, in the darkness

Falling feathers burst into tears

The raven calls, into the distance

Leaving now and never to be

Is it right to let it go?

Should we watch, let the ravens flow?

Bring in the rush, the flood, in the darkness

And let the paper burn as the raven crows with our sanity

So see how waters rush into the black

Have it come and know it can’t go back

Let my eyes reach through echoed footprints

And let the raven’s claws dig into my soul

Nevermore, can she watch over you

Midnight falls in feathers as she flew

To the light of an always setting sun

To where lies die and dreams run

Will she leave, never waiting flying forward, forever nevermore....

Have this time come

Let the lies fall

Have the dawn rise

Walk past the cries

Fall into water

Feel your heart falter

And let the spirits rise to a setting sun....

As the feathers fall....

*Nevermore* ha, reminds me of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and yes I do believe your lyrical, free yet so very dark poem made sense :) Fun, fun, fun!!!

Love the poem. Some of the wording didn't make sense to me personally, but you could of done that on purpose. :) Good poem. The flow and rhythm was easy to follow.
