Her Life's A Laugh

Being regular isn't simple for me;
It's a challenge
You say that I live everyday,
being laughed at from the sidelines.
Like a hilarious movie
that's really a tragedy
So ridiculous,
so pathetic
You can't help but laugh.
But did you know this comedy,
this movie you'll never watch again,
is my life?
You'll never glance twice at me.
You won't get to know me
for who I am.
You just see the tragedy of the girl
who's trying to fit in.
Be normal.
Have friends.

She's trying so hard,

just to feel like she belongs.
But all she'll ever be is a joke to you.

A well written poem that conveys it's message very clearly and with a smooth flow. But I must disagree with it's theme, as it is one unique and individual qualities that make this world wonderful. Those who can't handle difference are the loosing side of the equation. Those who stand for what they believe in and act in accordance to their own unique blend of philosophies are the true winners.

The joke is on them my friend, they will miss out on getting to know "who you are" and to be frank, they don't deserve it.
Think of it as a red flag-- they are not the company you should surround yourself with. You're clearly above and beyond their level.

hmm, very nice. Well written. But life is never a joke. You see people laugh because they don't feel good about themselves, They joke so they can fit in. But at the end of the day. No one is really ever normal in life. Everyone has their own troubles, their own standards, their own humilation they go through. Yet Life is a learning process of finding friends, and living to the fullest. Even when the sky is black. No one said life would be easy. ( juts putting my outlook, i'm really not trying to be mean). I like your poem tho. very good.
