Consumption of Art

Consumption of Art

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

When I say consume, I mean comsume, but also absorbing and understanding... Bleh

"

That tickle of warmth climbing up loose limbs,

The spark of imagination reflected in widening eyes,

The helpless smile touching tale-telling mouths,

And butterfly hearts releasing soulful sighs.

The awe-evoking ultimate contraption.

This is inspiration in the throes of passion.

The dewy drops of wisdom dotting wrinkled brows,

That intellectual heat growing in the starving belly of the mind,

The pleasant perfection careless creativity brings to canvas,

And a rush of satisfaction freeing curiosity like a broken bind.

The dawning of knowledge you will never know,

This is wisdom setting you free of a world’s woe.

The descending of an ever-suspended pulse,

That bitter-sweet completeness of the soul,

That slow cooling of sun-touched skin,

And the content-ness of but being begins to unfold.

The ceaseless atomic waves of an exquisite explosion,

This is the consumption of art in motion.

Hmmm, I like this. Can see it really being more of a spoken word art piece. I can see you throwing this out at an open mic and doing very well with it!

i feel like you could expand this poem. Art is such a big and broad subject that it encompasses a lot. When one is absorbed in a visual art they will gather things that us writers would not. You use almost all 5 senses in your descriptions which makes your poem very sensual. The descriptions were def my fav quality to your poem

I like the pleasing ornamental after-touch of your lines, very unusual in a woman - your long lines are truly a pleasure. My faovrite lines include:

1.That slow cooling of sun-touched skin
2.And butterfly hearts releasing soulful sighs

Great job!

Art touches us in some way. I think you covered most of the possibilities here. Except maybe, art can consume us as well.
