I'm Proud of You

Brightest as the sun

Heart fluffs in the air

Happy contented and free

Empty baggage 

Drying up washed clean clothes

Brisk on a new empty book

Eager for a new journey

Of the unknowns of tomorrow

Facing straightaway

Finding no more reasons to look back

As we age, experiencing new things

Scarred marks, gold medal

Worn open to the world

The past hasn't buried, neither alive nor dead

But ponders that we matured

For the better of our well-being

At the end of this rainbow, 

You'll find no fortune or gold

But fulfillment after the long iris bend

Surrounded by people dear to you 

I'm proud of you.

There are many interesting ways you've shown to be proud of someone . . . this "someone" in your poem seems elusive . . . it could be many possibilities . . . departures or graduations, other types of "moving on" . . . the reader gets the feeling this narrator really IS proud of the person he/she is talking to. You SHOW instead of tell that this is the case becuz of all the ways this narrator shows he/she cares (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
