Golden

Golden

A Poem by Initium

I want to be golden,
sparkling without consent.
Maybe even silver,
if I can't aim higher.

So possibly a gemstone,
but I'd rather not be owned.
What about Al or In?
But no one cares about those therein.

What about a human, though?
Doesn't glimmer, but so?
It sparkles inside,
and it's where my heart of gold will reside.
