A poem dedicated to a friend of mine.

Madeleine Grace,

Take that all of that off your face!

Your eyes need not be lined in black,

And lashes coated in thin bat crap.

 

Madeleine, dear,

Please always stay near,

When my fingers tap the letters,

And our relationship betters.

 

Madeleine, the joker,

But never the toker.

Keep that cross on your neck,

And please don't forget.

 

Maddie, old pal,

What's up, ¿qué tal?

Pay not mind to what they say,

They're all jealous anyway.

 

And as we grow closer,

I hope that you know,

My fondness of you will forever grow.

 

(I hope you know I'm not a lesbian.)

Well I especially like the first set of verse. I thought it witty as is the entire poem. I like to see pictures in my mind as I read, and this poem is full of imagery - wonderful
