Guess my guest of honour

Guess my guest of honour

A Poem by S.zaynab.kamoonpury

It popped on my window as if to say hello
my birdie buddy all sweet and mellow
Dressed in a downy gold gown of yellow
I tried to cheep in tune, join its song to say
'welcome my chirping lil fellow
Oh my it sang then like a feathered cello!
So hi and hello fellow writerscafers and twitter tweet tweet
May you find this short 'n' very merry sweet , sweet
This was in honour of my winged guest of honour
For I fawn over you birdies, I'm your fan , a bird lover
Build your nest in my poet's corner, I'm your fawner
Lil birdie you are my VIP, be my guest of honour

Very welcome. Sure, feel free to review my poems.
This is lighthearted poem in honor of birds, and I enjoyed the way this poem rhymes. The description is very vivid, and the imagery seems to "come off the page". At the same time the poem is focused and does not stray away from the main point. A great poem. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Warm thanks.
I love the concept. Guests can come in many forms and species. Does not have to be only humans. We allow them in by choice. We converse with them by choice. We determine if they are really worthy of the next step. I can see you have a wide range of thinking and creativity Zaynab.

oh, what a sweet surprise when these words came ( So hi and hello fellow writerscafers and twitter tweet tweet ...) I wake up to the birds chirping, and I love birds... it's morning now and they are still singing outside so Your lovely poem came at its right time. we poets get inspiration from anywhere, and here but an example how Your Birdie is a part of that inspiration, and how You are happily welcoming it. a poem that brings a smile, Thank You my friend for sharing You moment with us, and I say a merry sweet "tweet tweet.." back to You and Your little Birdie too.

Warmest thanks for lovely review!
A pleasant recounting of an apparently factual event. It's not often that one gets an unexpected, living inspiration for a poem.
