Wings

Wings

A Poem by Avenger
"

A poem I wrote to my parents when I moved away from them.

"

Wings

You and me

I am a bird and you are my wings

Together we soar high into the sky

But without you I would rather die

I can't fly south for the winter

I can't fly west with the sun

I'm hopeless without you

I just want to have fun

I want jump a cliff right now

But you won't be there to catch me

I want to play hide and seek

But you won't be there to fetch me

I'm a bird without wings

And you are my guides

Here comes a big wind

So I have to hide

I'm a bird without wings

And you take me to and from

I need some wings

I wish I had some

Not only did I lose my wings

But I also lost my heart

When the evil wind

Tore us all apart

Spectacular poem with amazing imagery. The symbolism is obvious but not too obvious. Great job~!
