Friend Zone

Someone asked me the other day to what a friend zone is...

To which I respond, 

Is it not that of a zone where friends belong?

For what friends do in a zone of their own comfort 

is one that can only be determined by how crazy their lifestyles,

methodology and even their idiosyncracies form with each other. 

For what they confide, they not only break it in hives but in the most 

comfortable ways they will create spaces for themselves...

sarcastically speaking! 

For whose friends we rely on we do no craving of their time

but truly just want to spend time even for just a good minute. 

As to the relation of why that minute exists... 

Well, ask their... never mind! 

For whose friends we could sing, laugh and fall back onto all in a good 

happy hour for when last call begins they not only march like  

vagabonds and soldiers in a marching band! 

For how their bonds are unbreakable is one that can be 

inexplicable to the human eye? 

Is it the amount of chugged beers per five minutes or 

the late night knocks on the door to beat the s**t out of someone?

For how far the lengths one would take to go and 

be proud of what they have done is one that 

can never be repaid indefinitely.

For why a friend calls another friend, is it not because 

they met through mutual dislike of another or was it the comfort 

of nonconformity that springs forth between the two!

For why a friend makes another not only feel special not through their 

efforts but also in the way they connect immediately 

without knowing what connected them in the first or fifth or nth place 
they were in!

For when a friend calls another a friend at a time where 
no other will do so, it is not out of misery or shame 
but it is of loyalty and discretion they will pick not 
only the phone but the car keys to get to where they need to be.

For when a friend is but the enemy it is not an enemy 
rather it is one that creates a bridge to maintain 
not only the distance but the concept they are watched 
by those who look for them!

And to who do I call a friend well I tell you!

They are the ones who not need a space in my heart for where 
they belong, they came from a place where I already knew.
They are not just a friend but the better extension of who I am! 

They are the influence, inspiration and the drive as to who I could not be. 

For the digits I have in my hands are limited but really when  
all hell break loose if I had a digit left that I assure 
you will be the friend I will only call my true one.

The best part about it is that what I know of a friend zone 
is that in the lines of a friendship an escalation of feelings 
to someone you really could call the best one we will call 
them a best friend!

That's why we have best friends and just friends.

After all...it is a zone where misfits and eclectics congregate 

so they would feel comfortably awkward with each other and
still be cool about it...

So if you ever ask me what a friend zone is, I will tell you, 

"It is a zone where you and I have friends of our own zones, 
and should I choose you out of them not only do I take you 
out of the lines of that zone but will make you my
own true best friend."

Author's Note

If people ever ask me what a friend zone is, this is as real as it's going to get. Feelings and emotions are different between two friends that know each other well.

Yes it is quite the truth isn't it. I feel horrible these days when I hear people say, "Oh they friend zoned her/him blah de blah" haha. People should know that if you're friends with them already and they are around your "area" of your friends that you hang out with or communicate it just doesn't make sense haha!

Yeah man, it is a silly concept really. It's like why do you say "you've been friend zoned" when really, they could have just said, "Oh s/he is just not into you. There's more fish in the sea." Or something of that nature. It's sad but hey we need to get rid of that along with the word "YOLO" >.<

Yes because really in these times where people say "you've been friend zoned?" I would look at them and say...but weren't I friends with them in the first place?
