Deep inside my radiant self

Deep inside my radiant self

A Poem by zubia

Deep inside my radiant self,
lies a winged being ready to fly.
To tear me apart and howl loud,
To break the silence and jump up high.
High up where there's no pain,
and no bars to hold, to restrain
the monster dwelling in this soul;
Struggling to live or to die.

Somewhere inside this shallow smile,
lives a deep frown ready to perish,
to lose itself to the warmth of love;
Love which destroys what lies inside.
Silent from ages, craving to escape,
It bites each part of my soul.
It leaves me aching, yearning for help,
Deep inside my radiant self!

Awesome message! I love your writing, which sounds like no other, but is also very relatable. The yearning is strong & deeply felt, while I admire the way you weave your ideas into unusual patterns of expression (but still very clear & understandable). This sounds like a dance between the radiant self & the darkness hidden deep down within! Love it! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

"Deep inside my radiant self'
zubia,
You created contrasting dark-light and the expression of each trait:
"Deep inside my radiant self,
lies a winged being ready to fly.
to tear me apart and howl loud"
and
"the monster dwelling in this soul'
Struggling to live or to dies"
Above lines show the human struggle with pain or some difficulty.
Then:
"somewhere inside this shallow smile,
lives a deep frown ready to perish,
to lose itself to the warmth of love;"
Your expression throughout is lovely and understandable.
Thank you and blessings,
Kathy

my pleasure
Each of us has a monster that resides within us. That fact is very eloquently expressed. I liked it a lot.
