Amnesia

Noun: A partial or total loss of memory

Perhaps it would be

easier to erase

and keep

everything I know, the

things I have seen

and things I hide

away from myself.

Perhaps I should

keep my mind a

blank slate,

desperately ignoring

those bitter

harsh

realities

swirling around me,

giving me

a chance to breathe, to

see without thinking.

Lose these

painful

intense memories

of life

and replace

them with

nothing.
