The Blanket Of Dark Clouds

The poem is about the false reality of the world. How smiles hide tears and sobs are held back within laughter.

A wise man once told me

To never judge a person unless I walk a mile in their shoe

For truths are hidden deep away from the world

Concealed from view

But I was too busy looking at others

Wishing I could be them 

What if I could hold the crown over my head

Or perhaps possess a gem

It wasn't until midnight that day

When I heard their crying voices

Behind closed doors

Where darkness alone rejoices

What a sad reality it is, I think,

My head filled with their painful sobs and shouts,

For even the sky sheds its tears

Under a blanket of dark clouds
