Damned technology.! Human societies, can't live with it; but can't live without it.! Dependency cultures - reliant upon technology; far too much..!

It can be a barrier, sometimes; particularly when such systems break down. In many ways, life used to be more content and stable; in the "developed" world. And, our societies were less polarised; with greater community cohesion instead.
