7B Pepole

7B Pepole

A Poem by Late Night Writer

Do you ever think

Think about the people you pass by

Think about their story and their life

Do you wonder if there’s a reason they may drink

Each house we pass by, behind every closed door

There’s a story, a life, people

In that one house across the street

There could be a husband and a wife

Their marriage could be based on lies or stabbing each other in the back with knives

But to us, they seem perfect for each other

Putting on a show for the world but we never know what lies behind closed door

A happy house may seem like a broken house

A broken house may seems like a happy house

A child you see running around and playing in the front yard

The scars and bruises you see all over him, may not be from him being a child

It could have to do with his daddy

And that’s why he doesn’t like playing with the kids and constantly seems unhappy

Do you ever stop to wonder that those random people who smile at you

Just want someone to smile back at them

Every car that rushed by could be going to a loving home

Or maybe that person is all alone

It’s an incredible thing that everyone has their own story

They just want their whisper to be heard through the crowd

Just want to be seen

We should be proud to be who we are

Because in our story, we’re the Queen

Remember the next encounter you have with someone

Don’t be mean or brush them aside like yesterday’s trash

Because that person is just like you

With their own unique story just wanting to break through.
